Hold Austin Native: Help League of Georgetown Space Thrift Store

AUSTIN, Texas — KVUE needs to assist “Hold Austin Native” by highlighting the native companies, occasions and people who make Austin particular.

On Wednesday, KVUE stopped by The Help League of Georgetown Space Thrift Store. The thrift store was opened in 2002 and is the group’s main fundraiser.

The thrift store needed to shut down mid-March, and when it reopened, it restricted its hours to Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This week, the Help League of Georgetown Space was acknowledged by Mayor Josh Schroeder. Sept. 20 is now “Help League of Georgetown Space Day,” celebrating its group service.

When individuals store on the thrift store they assist the Help League’s philanthropies, that are all centered on reworking the lives of kids and adults by way of group packages.
